Car body painting is optional, but in most cases it is still an inevitable procedure for car care. Any self-respecting driver monitors not only the good technical condition of his car, but also its appearance. Unfortunately, it is not always in our power to prevent external interference with the integrity of our car, and it is often just its body that suffers, and, therefore, the paint coating (PC).
Car painting is a measure that can not only restore the integrity of the car’s paintwork, but also make it shine like new. What is car painting, what types it is subdivided into and what you generally need to know:
Partial car painting
In almost one hundred percent of cases, a partial, or local, painting of a car is resorted to after an accident. The body element that was hit must be repaired – and it is advisable to do this as soon as possible in order to prevent the formation of corrosion.
The first thing to start painting a car with is the preparation of the room. Dust, dirt – none of this should be there. Cleanliness and the absence of all unnecessary things – this is a good room for painting your car.
The procedure of painting the element by auto straightening continues – a thorough surface treatment and elimination of damage to the body. This can also include the elimination of contamination from the part.
The third stage is filling. As in construction and renovation, at this stage, scratches are smoothed out, cracks are filled.
The fourth is grinding. Here, irregularities in coating are finally eliminated, the main goal of this stage is to make sure that the paintwork will lie in an even layer.
Sanding is followed by priming of the body element, i.e. applying an anti-corrosion coating to the unpainted element and processing with a primer.
